Welcome to the very fist Hooked On Gambia angling report. This report shows what was caught by Hooked On Gambia anglers from our inception to the year end. Enjoy!
December, on the whole, was a good month for fishing in The Gambia. And even the strong onshore winds in the morning (leading to the introduction of our Creek & Reef combo trips) could not deter our anglers from bringing back some really good catches, especially in the first half of the month.

September and October 2003
Due to a prolonged rainy season, the fishing during September and early October 2003 was sporadic.
On smaller tides, fishing off Barra produced some large Captain Fish and Snapper.
Trolling off the reefs was fairly consistent with one or two exceptional days producing over 20 hits from Barracuda in a couple of hours.
Small Captain Fish, Cassava and Lady Fish were caught in the bolongs (creeks) whilst Snapper and Black Grouper to 4 kg were caught on the wrecks.
